Senior Software Engineer – Web UI

Cloud computing is a growing revolution, and Skytap is leading the way in providing self-service virtual data centers in just a few clicks.

We need a front-end developer who can talk the talk and walk the walk. Someone who is passionate about delivering user-focused designs and building intuitive interfaces.

An Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience architecting and building asynchronous functionality with OO JavaScript
• Have a systematic approach to cross-browser compatibility
• Understand web performance and be committed to it
• Believe in the philosophy of progressive enhancement
• Care about good HTML markup
• Keep current on developments in the field
• Have strong opinions, but play nice with others
• Have an understanding of MVC architecture and REST
• Have at least kicked the tires on Ruby on Rails. The more you’ve worked with it, the better

As a member of our web team, you will be implementing novel features that must be easy-to-use while meeting security, performance, and scalability requirements. We use agile development techniques, and our service is built primarily on open source software and languages including Linux and Ruby.

We want to enable you to do what you do best, not get in your way.
