Skytap Adds to Leadership Team with New Chief Revenue Officer and VP of People

New executives will help Skytap further its mission of enabling customers to move traditional IBM Power applications to the cloud safely, quickly and easily.  

Seattle, Wash – November 17, 2020 – Today Skytap announced two new members of its executive team: John Wrobel as Chief Revenue Officer and Kari Dickerson as Vice President of People. Both will be instrumental as Skytap continues to pioneer ways to move traditional IBM Power applications to the cloud safely, quickly and easily. Wrobel and Dickerson joined Skytap on Nov. 2, 2020.

John Wrobel comes to Skytap from NetApp where he was the Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development for the Azure NetApp Business Group. In this role, John managed a team of 100+ dedicated sellers and developed a unique technology called Azure NetApp Files and a GTM partnership model between Microsoft and NetApp. This led NetApp to shift from on-premise HW business to a Cloud Data Services business and drove a significant volume of sales since it launched in July of 2019. Prior to NetApp, John built a $700M+ business at SanDisk selling Solid State Drives to the world’s largest scale out infrastructure companies including iCloud, AWS, Azure, SoftLayer and Facebook.

Kari Dickerson joined Skytap from TCS World Travel, where she ran HR. She has been in HR for over twenty years, is passionate about creating environments where people can grow and thrive and believes deeply in the power of strong company culture and the need for partnerships across the business.
