Between the keynotes, the track sessions, and the conversations on the expo floor, Amazon AWS re:Invent 2013 was a ton of information to take in over the course of a couple of days. Amidst all the goings-on, we got the opportunity to sit down with three of Skytap’s customers to learn a little more about what drew them to the cloud, how they’re utilizing Skytap’s services, and what strides their businesses made in 2013.

Ryan Carey – DataXu

DataXu is “an open, neutral platform that enables marketers to use ‘rocket science’ in a simple UI to understand and engage consumers in a digital world.” Ryan Carey explains how by moving their enterprise dev/test environments to the cloud, DataXu was able to deliver better software at a speed their customers needed.

Paul Haury – Fulcrum Technologies

Fulcrum Technologies helps enterprise-level customers “manage the infrastructure that is most valuable to their organizations, including assets, inventory, site information and IT or datacenter equipment.” CTO Paul Haury shares how Skytap’s network address translation (NAT,) dev/test environments, and AWS infrastructure enablement all have Fulcrum excited about the future.

Lee Orrick – F5

F5 helps organizations “meet the demands that come with the relentless growth of voice, data, and video traffic, mobile workers, and applications—in the data center and the cloud.” Lee Orrick shares how Skytap directly addressed F5’s needs to speed up, and reduce the cost of their new product training programs.
