Enterprises are increasingly using multiple public clouds to meet business needs. Multi-cloud adoption is no different than how organizations have used best-of-breed software and hardware for decades to build their datacenters. Of course, a key difference is that the cloud combines hardware and software into easy-to-consume services already powering much of our digital economy. Similar to the software and hardware of year’s past, no two cloud are alike. Smart organizations know that using the right cloud for the right job is the best way to maximize the cloud’s potential, effectively power key initiatives, and avoid vendor lock-in.
Leading analyst firm Forrester recently spotlighted the rise of multi-cloud, finding that 82% of survey respondents were using between two and nine public clouds (Forrester Wave for Continuous Delivery and Release, Q3 2017). We’re seeing multi-cloud take hold with our own customers, as well. More than a third of Skytap customers recently reported using our cloud with one or more other public clouds.
We want to help you succeed with multi-cloud. So I’m hosting a webinar featuring Forrester’s Dave Bartoletti called Modernizing Traditional Applications in a Multi-Cloud World. Dave and I will lead a discussion about how you can make multi-cloud work for you, and accelerate the modernization of your existing applications.
During the webinar we’ll cover:
- Why you need to modernize traditional applications
- Why one-size clouds don’t fit all applications
- Best approaches to multi-cloud use
- Actionable guidance for application modernization
I hope you’ll join us on Thursday, May 10, at 8:30 am Pacific Time for a comprehensive look at how to succeed in a multi-cloud world. Register today!
