Join Skytap at AWS re:Invent on Thursday, November 14 to hear Skytap CTO, Brad Schick, along with Skytap customers Fulcrum, DataXu and F5 for a session on Application Darwinism – Why Most Enterprise Apps Will Evolve to the Cloud.
Overview: Complex multi-tier enterprise applications have often been under development for decades, leaving many to assume that these projects have dependencies on underlying operating systems, hardware configurations, and network topologies. The boundary between one application or service and another is often fuzzy, and these traits make some enterprise applications difficult to refactor or move to a public cloud. Even today, it’s not uncommon for those that manage these types of applications to be unfamiliar with cloud concepts and the options available to both dev and test teams.
In this session, enterprise IT architects and developers will gain insights into why the evolution of enterprise applications will lead to hybrid applications in order to take advantage of numerous cloud-based services. Brad Schick will also demonstrate Skytap Cloud with Amazon Web Services, along with discussing how enterprises can easily achieve this integration today for application development and testing.
When: November, 14th from 3pm-4pm.
