How to Manage Cookies and Similar Technologies
You can manage how websites track and use your Personal Data, by adjusting settings for cookies and tracking technologies at the browser level. Below are details for accessing these controls within most major browsers.
Additionally, you may consider using free & open-source browser plugins such as uMatrix and uBlock Origin that prevent third-parties from setting cookie data on your computer.
If you choose to block all cookies, you may still have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site and some services and functionalities may not work.
Chrome
- Open the Chrome menu or click the button
- Choose Preferences or Settings
- Type do not track into the search field and press enter
- Ensure that the option labeled Send a “Do Not Track” request with your browsing traffic is checked
Firefox
- Open the Firefox menu or click the button
- Choose Preferences
- Click Privacy
- Ensure the option labeled Request that sites not track you is checked
Internet Explorer
Edge
- Click the ••• menu.
- Choose Settings.
- Under Advanced settings, click View advanced settings
- Under Privacy and services, ensure that the option labeled Send Do Not Track requests is on.
Safari
- From the Safari menu, choose Preferences
- Click the Privacy tab
- Ensure that the option labeled Ask websites not to track me is checked
Opera
- On Windows, choose Preferences from the Settings menu
- On Mac, choose Preferences from the Opera menu
- Type do not track into the search field and press enter
- Ensure the option labeled Send a ‘Do Not Track’ request with your browsing traffic is checked
