Extending VMware’s capabilities with Skytap Cloud

Skytap is attending VMworld 2017 next week, and we’ll have our largest presence yet at one of IT’s most notable conferences. Looking at the VMworld 2017 agenda, it’s clear attendees understand IT modernization is vital to business success in the digital economy. Skytap Cloud was designed specifically for modernizing applications at the heart of enterprises and we’re looking forward to great conversations in Las Vegas!

Today’s IT organizations face the challenge of continuing to maintain business-critical applications stuck on-premises, while also looking for opportunities to introduce new innovation through cloud-native services and technologies. These two initiatives create major challenges for CIOs and IT leaders, especially around traditional applications that have been historically difficult, if not impossible, to modernize.

As evidenced by current surveys and media coverage of current and future cloud migration initiatives, a majority of enterprises are adopting multi-cloud strategies. Incorporating different clouds for different applications enables enterprises to use the right tool for the right job—provided that each cloud can integrate seamlessly with one another and existing on-premises systems.

Skytap and VMware at VMworld 2017Customers of VMware and Skytap are striving for greater development agility in parallel to reducing total cost of ownership for their on-premises and cloud investments. Thanks to VMware’s flexible cloud infrastructure, and Skytap’s unique ability to migrate traditional applications unchanged, we’re in a great position to eliminate real pain points today. Together, we’re jointly enabling our customers to accelerate the delivery of goods and services through software and accelerate IT modernization at the best pace for their business.

Look for an announcement from Skytap and VMware during VMworld 2017, which will detail how we’re now even better positioned to serve the needs of our joint customers. Skytap team members can be found during the conference at any of the locations below, so please stop by and let’s talk about your own unique migration and modernization initiatives.
